Arthroscopically assisted closed reduction for displaced lateral humeral condyle fractures over 4 mm in children.

We read with interest the publication by Weng and colleagues1. The same authors2 reported in 2022 that open reduction and percutaneous pinning (ORPP) remained their “gold standard” for displaced and rotated lateral humeral condyle fractures (LHCF), whilst the authors2 encouraged readers to be prepared for the time-consuming learning process of closed reduction and percutaneous pinning (CRPP) for these fractures, without mentioning that Weng et al1 themselve s had already abandoned ORPP and CRPP by September 2020 in favour of the arthroscopically assisted procedure1 (AAPP).
