Improvement in quality of trauma care at non-tertiary hospitals in Ghana during on-hours and off-hours with a trauma intake form: A stepped-wedge cluster randomized trial

Trauma is a significant health problem globally, especially in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Improvements in trauma care in LMICs must overcome considerable resource restrictions. Hence, improvements in the organization and process of care are important options in light of their affordability. The World Health Organization's (WHO) Trauma Care Checklist (TCC) has been shown to improve the process of care and lower mortality for seriously injured patients at tertiary centers in both high-income countries and LMICs [1].
