Interventional Radiologists and OBLs: An Excellent Match

This article addresses the value interventional radiologists (IRs) can bring to the OBL, with primary impacts being the ability to impact a larger proportion of the population than is traditionally cared for in most hospital settings, the ability to positively influence multidisciplinary care teams and the financial leverage inherent in procedural diversification not readily afforded by other specialists working in the OBL space.
