Academic Medicine Call for Volunteer Assistant Editors  

Academic Medicine is seeking applications for volunteer assistant editors. The assistant editor role is characterized by  Working closely with the editor-in-chief, associate editors, and editorial staff on matters related to manuscript review and decision-making  Strengthening experience and skills related to writing, reviewing, and editing content for scholarly publication  Attending annual Academic Medicine editorial board meetings   Successful candidates will have experience reviewing for our journal and demonstrate a strong interest in medical education and scholarly publishing. Priority will be given to those who have expertise in qualitative or quantitative research methodologies, and visual presentation of concepts in data. Current trainees and individuals who hold decision-making editorial roles at other journals are not eligible to apply.  The assistant editor role is a one-year renewable appointment.  To apply, please submit a CV and a 1-2 page letter of interest to academicmedicine@aamc.org  (Attn: Mary Beth DeVilbiss, Director of Journals) by April 30, 2024.
