Involvement of Glycation and Oxidative Stress in Frozen Shoulder
Glycation stress is involved in the pathogenesis of idiopathic frozen shoulder. The expression of advanced glycation end-products (AGEs) and their receptors (RAGE) induces oxidative stress. However, the relationship between frozen shoulder and oxidative stress remains unclear. The purpose of this study is to determine whether oxidative stress, particularly the antioxidant enzymes superoxide dismutase (SOD) and peroxiredoxin (PRDX), are involved in frozen shoulder.
