Atopic conditions are common complaints in a primary care office. From atopic dermatitis to severe asthma and complicated food allergy, primary care physicians are the first stop for most allergic conditions. The past decade has seen significant advancements in the treatment of atopic conditions with the development of biologics and the evolution of different types of immunotherapies, with a particular nod to advancements in oral immunotherapy for treatment of food allergy. These advancements served as the inspiration for this issue of Medical Clinics of North America.
