Urinary drainage for posterior urethral valves can be achieved with valve ablation (VA) or diversion by vesicostomy (VES) or cutaneous ureterostomy (CU). The effect of these interventions on long-term bladder function remains debated, and voiding symptomatology after VES or CU reversal has been poorly characterized.
