Randomized Controlled Trial Comparing Simulation Modalities in First Year Nursing Students
With limited resources, schools of nursing must decide where best to allocate funds to support immersive learning experiences fostering critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills to prepare graduates to work as competent nurses. Low-fidelity simulations require human resources and equipment, which can be costly, while virtual simulations provide a potentially cheaper and more flexible alternative (Azher et al., 2023). During COVID-19, there was a swift movement as nursing educators adapted technology for clinical education and to deliver didactic content.
