Visual Diagnosis in Emergency Medicine Traumatic Pseudoaneurysm of the Temporal Artery

A 36-year-old male presented to the Emergency Department complaining of a pulsatile mass on his right temple. It had occurred two weeks earlier following blunt trauma to his forehead whilst playing rugby. He was concerned as it was increasing in size. Examination of the lump revealed a non-tender pulsatile mass to the right frontotemporal region (figure 1). There were no other traumatic injuries, and the patient was otherwise well.
