As the health care landscape continues to grow and change, gastroenterology training programs must be adept at accommodating change and supporting diverse interests.1 In recent years, there has been rapid evolution in endoscopic techniques and technologies in addition to increasing trends toward subspecialization within the field.1 It often is difficult for faculty to teach in ways that support diverse interests or fellows at varied points in their training.2 Although fellow education remains a core component of many physicians ’ responsibilities, opportunities for faculty development in teaching and coaching are limited because of time constraints and clinical demands.
