Advancements in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) represents a collection of treatment approaches designed to address and overcome mental health problems. CBT stands out as the most extensively studied psychological treatment for depression1 and anxiety disorders,2,3 and it is recommended in most treatment guidelines worldwide. Beyond these prevalent mental health issues, CBT programs have been tailored to address nearly all psychiatric symptoms.4 Despite its demonstrated effectiveness, there remains room for improvement, as not all patients respond positively to treatment.
