Commentary: Illuminating the role of non-English language preference in healthcare disparities for older adults with cognitive impairment

Our older adult population, including those living with cognitive impairment, is ethnically and racially diverse and will become even more diverse in the coming years. Ensuring that all segments of our older adult population with cognitive impairment have access to timely and high-quality healthcare is essential from a health equity perspective (1). However, there is now abundant evidence of healthcare disparities for minoritized populations (2).
