A Comparison of Different Approaches in BTK Revascularization
Peripheral arterial disease and critical limb ischemia (CLI) represent a global burden. In diabetic- and chronic renal failure patients, below-the-knee (BTK) localization is reported in association with widespread calcification, with stenosis or occlusion. The BTK district is generally treated using percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA). Today ’s commercially available devices influence the revascularization success rate and amputation risk after distal flow restoration.
