The Nystagmus of BPPV Never “Beats Horizontally in One Direction”

The recently published Clinical Review article about diagnosis of posterior circulation stroke in its original ePub form contained an important factual error (1). The authors stated, “the nystagmus in benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) almost always beats horizontally in one direction.” This is an incorrect characterization.
