Healing patient, harming planet? A drive towards sustainable surgery: review of waste production and recyclability of surgical instrument packaging
CONCLUSION: This audit demonstrates the different categories and vast amount of packaging waste from a common operation. Manufacturers should place clear recyclability labels on packaging, and switch to recyclable materials and a digital information booklet where possible.
