Post Thrombotic Syndrome Morbidity in Mechanical Thrombectomy Versus Catheter-Directed Thrombolysis of Iliofemoral Deep Venous Thrombosis
Iliofemoral deep venous thrombosis (IFDVT) is strongly associated with post thrombotic syndrome (PTS). Treatment options include catheter-directed thrombolysis (CDT) and, more recently, the rapid development of large bore devices for mechanical thrombectomy (MT). Both treatments have been shown to be effective; however, the rates of PTS after MT are poorly characterized.
