Stereotactic body radiation therapy for pleural mesothelioma: which goal, which patients

We read with interest the article by Shin et al. [1], recently published in Radiotherapy& Oncology. We commend the authors for reporting the results of the largest cohort to date investigating Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) in pleural mesothelioma (PM). We fully agree with their conclusions that an adequate local control in this setting without significant toxicity can be achieved with non-ablative total doses, keeping the dose per fraction relatively high.
