Analysis of general payments from industry to dermatology nonphysician clinicians in the United States, 2021-2022

To the Editor: The 2013 inauguration of Open Payments elevated the transparency of financial transactions connecting the healthcare industry and physicians and in 2021 extended its scope to encompass nonphysician clinicians (NPCs).1 Despite existing characterization of the workforce attributes of NPCs in dermatology,2 payments to NPCs are unexplored and important to investigate, given the potential for conflicts of interest that may impact practice.
