Future Potential Challenges of Using Large Language Models Like ChatGPT in Daily Medical Practice
Large language models (LLMs) are artificial intelligence (AI) systems trained on large amounts of words from various articles and Internet-based content [1]. Through continuous training, LLMs learn how words and patterns are used in a natural way, similar to how humans choose their words [1]. A recent example of a very popular LLM application is Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer (ChatGBT). The chatbot was introduced in 2022 and soon after attracted masses of users and scientists [2]. Although with the introduction of ChatGPT, people worldwide realized that the AI revolution could be nearer than expected, many challenges still need to be solved, despite the enormous potential of LLMs in medicine.
