Evaluation of Climate-Aware Metrics Tools for Radiology Informatics and Artificial Intelligence: Towards a Potential Radiology Eco-Label

Radiology, with its embedded and growing technological roots, introduces a distinct dimension to the unfolding narrative of healthcare ’s contributions to climate change. Delivering modern patient care requires a robust informatics team to move images from the imaging equipment to the workstations and the health care system. Radiology informatics is the field that manages medical imaging information technology. This involves the acquisition, storage, retrieval, and use of imaging information in healthcare efficiently and effectively to improve access and quality, which includes PACS (picture archiving and communication system), cloud services, and artificial intelligence (AI).
