Transient ischemic attack or migraine with aura?

Tidsskr Nor Laegeforen. 2023 Oct 18;143(15). doi: 10.4045/tidsskr.23.0225. Print 2023 Oct 24.ABSTRACTMigraine or migraine-like symptoms can contribute to a delayed stroke diagnosis. However, migraine with aura is a common stroke mimic and often the basis for acute thrombolytic therapy. It is probably also the reason why many patients are misdiagnosed with a transient ischemic attack. In this clinical review, we explain the factors that could differentiate a transient ischemic attack from a migraine with aura.PMID:37874053 | DOI:10.4045/tidsskr.23.0225
