Clear reporting of educational interventions facilitates innovation and implementation
Education is the mainstay of hand therapy. Yet it is one of the most poorly reported interventions. It is not uncommon to see that a “control” group in a randomized trial is an education intervention, or that education is a component of a multimodal intervention program. However, it is often not clear what exactly that education is. If we are to advance our understanding of how to understand current educational programs, crea te innovative new educational interventions or even improve existing educational interventions, it is critical that we understand what the components are.
