Does ankle inversion and eversion peak torque correlate to vertical jump scores in women college athletes?

Introduction: The ankle joint has been considered a contributing factor for vertical jump performance (Panoutsakopoulos et al., 2021). Ankle dorsiflexion and plantarflexion have influenced static balance control, showing the greatest influence on vertical movement (Kim& Kim, 2018). However, there is little research done on ankle inversion and eversion peak torque of the ankle (Hartsell& Spaulding, 1999). Female athletes tend to land more valgus (Arundale et al., 2020), which means eversion of the ankle, which could correlate to how high they can jump based upon force measurements of ankle inversion and eversion.
