Reproducibility of exercise interventions in randomized controlled trials for the treatment of rotator cuff-related shoulder pain: a systematic review

Shoulder pain has a point prevalence ranging from 6.9% to 26% in the general population,1 and is a common reason to seek medical care.1 –3 Rotator cuff-related shoulder pain (RCRSP) is one of the most frequently seen shoulder disorders,4–7 leading to functional limitations affecting daily and work activities and an increased use of healthcare resources.3,6,8–11 Exercise therapy is recommended as a first line treatment in multi ple clinical practice guidelines for RCRSP.12
