Listeria found in Blue Bell product from Sylacauga

The first instance of listeria from Blue Bell's Alabama production facility has been confirmed. A half-gallon ice cream product from Blue Bell Creameries' Alabama plant tested positive for listeria, according to the BBJ's sister publication in Houston. A privately-owned laboratory in Miami tested the ice cream for a family, which came from the company's Sylacauga plant and tested positive for listeria.
