Thymine DNA glycosylase regulates cell-cycle-driven p53 transcriptional control in pluripotent cells

Beyond its canonical function of regulating cell numbers in an organism, the cell cycle is proposed to work as a mechanism to temporally separate multiple cell fate choices. Aranda et  al. uncover the role of TDG in regulating the cell-cycle-based segregation of the differentiation potential of pluripotent cells.
