Rate of Recurrence Following Treatment of Lentigo Maligna with Carbon Dioxide Laser Alone or in Combination with Imiquimod: Results of a Long-term Study
Lentigo maligna (LM) is most seen in middle-aged and elderly patients. 1,2 It can be treated with surgical excision however, comorbidities, age of patient, anatomical location and size of lesions can make surgical intervention or even radiotherapy challenging and difficult to tolerate. The following is a study of patients who underwent CO2 laser therapy alone and in combination with 5% imiquimod for LM lesions.
