Common morbidity problems of midlife Turkish women

Life expectancy is increasing while the age of menopause remains relatively unchanged, so women spend more of their life in the postmenopausal period. In 2019, the population in Turkey was reported to be around 81.4 million, with a ratio of 49.9% for women and a life expectancy of 83 years for them. The average age of natural menopause seems to be around 48.9 years in Turkey. In a survey conducted among perimenopausal women in 2008, hot flashes were the most common complaint occurring in 96.5% of women.
