ESTRO/ESGO/SIOPe guidelines for the management of patients with vaginal cancer

Primary vaginal cancer is rare, comprising only 2% of all female genital tract malignancies in adults[1]. For this reason, available clinical data are sparse and consist mainly of retrospective, typically relatively small monocentric series, collected over a considerable period of time. Many of the recommendations are therefore extrapolated from the treatment of cervical cancer, with which they share many etio-pathological and anatomical similarities.
