The Experiences of Black Community ‐Based Doulas as They Mitigate Systems of Racism: A Qualitative Study
ConclusionDespite facing institutionalized, interpersonal, and internalized forms of racism, Black community-based doulas provide avenues for Black birthing individuals to navigate systemic racism experienced during the perinatal process. However, these forms of racism need to be addressed for Black community doulas to flourish.
