Linda Walton Receives the Marcia C. Noyes Award from the Medical Library Association

Region 6 is thrilled to share that Linda Walton, the PI and Associate Director for Region 6 at the University of Iowa, has been awarded The Marcia C. Noyes Award from the Medical Library Association. This award is the highest professional distinction offered by the association and is a true testament to Linda’s outstanding contributions to the field of medical librarianship. The Marcia C. Noyes Award recognizes individuals who have significantly contributed to developing, applying, or evaluating new or improved methods, techniques, and routines in health sciences libraries. Linda has been recognized for her exceptional leadership, innovation, and dedication to advancing the field of medical librarianship. Linda has been a vital member of NNLM for many years, and her passion for her work is evident in everything she does. Linda joined NNLM in 1994 as the Associate Director for the Great Midwest Region (GMR). In 2016 she rejoined NNLM at the PI for the GMR, now Region 6. She currently serves as the PI and Associate Director for Region 6. Her unwavering commitment to excellence and tireless efforts to improve our services have been a true inspiration to us all.
