Letter to the editor on “Clinical outcomes of medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction using FiberTape and knotless SwiveLock anchors”

We read with great interest of the article ‘‘Clinical outcomes of medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction using FiberTape and knotless SwiveLock anchors” by Sasaki et al. [1]. The authors investigated the clinical outcomes of medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) reconstruction using polyester high-strength suture tape with knotl ess anchors [1]. This interesting and meaningful study demonstrated that reconstruction of the MPFL with suture tape augmentation maybe a valuable alternative for restoration of patella stability, without requiring harvesting autologous tendon grafts.
