White Spot Lesions: State of the Art Biomaterials and Workflows used in Prevention, Progression and Treatment

The development of White Spot Lesions (WSLs) after completion of treatment is immensely discouraging to a specialty whose ultimate goal is to improve dentofacial aesthetics. This paper highlights state-of-the-art biomaterials that are used in prevention, progression and treatment of WSLs, in the form of workflows to guide a clinician in decision making at different treatment timings; before, during and after treatment. Scholarly literature has been screened until November 2022 for studies that assessed WSLs management.
