Speaking of service

As we were discussing the next editorial, Queen Elizabeth's funeral was on the television. The commentators often spoke of her 70 years of dedicated service to her role of the Monarch of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth Nations and how unusual that kind of dedication was. That caused us to reflect on the role of professional service during our careers, as well as that of our colleagues. We spoke with colleagues as well about their experiences and the benefits of career service. Based on these discussion, we would like to talk here about three major benefits to the individual based on their service.
