Recent Trends in Prescription Drug Launch Prices

To the Editor We believe that a recent Research Letter advanced a misleading narrative —namely, that US prescription drug spending is growing at alarming rates—because it does not consider the broader pharmaceutical life cycle that uses competition to create savings while simultaneously incentivizing the development of new medicines to address unmet needs.
