Abstract: Nanostructured materials have been developed for various biomedical applications. They have been designed as stimuli-responsive drug delivery systems and sustained protein delivery systems. Nanocomposite systems have also been designed to provide simultaneous drug delivery and bioimaging functions as theranostic systems.
