Intraarterial urokinase for thrombus migration after mechanical thrombectomy for large vessel ischemic stroke
CONCLUSION: The results of this study suggest that intraarterial urokinase for MeVO with thrombus migration after MT may safely improve angiographic reperfusion.PMID:34939475 | DOI:10.1177/15910199211069464

A review of mechanical thrombectomy techniques for acute ischemic stroke
Interv Neuroradiol. 2022 Mar 3:15910199221084481. doi: 10.1177/15910199221084481. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTMechanical thrombectomy is established as standard of care in the management of acute ischemic stroke due to large vessel occlusion and evidence-based guidelines for mechanical thrombectomy have been defined. As research continues to further expand the eligibility criteria for thrombectomy and the number of thrombectomy procedures increase worldwide, there is also growing focus on innovation of thrombectomy devices, procedural techniques, and related outcomes. Thrombectomy primarily involves use of stent retrieve...

Balloon Gliding Technique: A novel use of balloon guiding catheters in accessing challenging circulations when treating acute ischemic stroke
CONCLUSIONS: Balloon Gliding Technique (BGT) is a safe technique that can safely overcome challenging anatomy during endovascular treatment of acute ischemic stroke. Further studies can assist in demonstrating both its safety and effectiveness.PMID:35286223 | DOI:10.1177/15910199221082473

Neutrophil-Lymphocyte ratio is associated with poor clinical outcome after mechanical thrombectomy in stroke in patients with COVID-19
CONCLUSIONS: We show elevated NLR in LVO patients with COVID-19 portends significantly worse outcomes and increased mortality regardless of recanalization status. Severe neuro-inflammatory stress response related to COVID-19 may negate the potential benefits of successful thrombectomy.PMID:35404161 | DOI:10.1177/15910199221093896
