Effects of non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) for executive function on subjects with ADHD: a protocol for a systematic review and meta-analysis
Introduction Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a prevalent neurodevelopmental disorder with a high risk of multiple mental health and social difficulties. Executive function domains are associated with distinct ADHD symptom burdens. Non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) mainly includes repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), which is a promising technique, but its impact on the executive function of ADHD is uncertain. Therefore, the aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis is to derive solid and updated estimates on the effect of NIBS on...

What do we know about the psychosocial issues associated with cancer during pregnancy? A scoping review and gap analysis
Conclusions Research has focused on women with gestational breast cancer. Little is known about those diagnosed with other cancers. We encourage future study designs to capture data on sociodemographic, obstetric, oncological and psychiatric characteristics and adopt a longitudinal approach to explore the longer term psychosocial impact on women and their families. Future research should include outcomes that are meaningful for women (and their partners) and draw on international collaboration to accelerate progress in this field.

Psychological treatments for the mental health symptoms among individuals infected with COVID-19: a scoping review protocol
Introduction Mental health symptoms such as depression, anxiety and sleep problems are commonly observed in individuals suffering from acute COVID-19 infection to post-COVID-19 syndrome. Studies have provided preliminary evidence for the efficacies of cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, acceptance and commitment therapy, and many other treatments for this population. Although there have been attempts to synthesise the literature on these psychological interventions, previous reviews have been limited in terms of the sources, symptoms and interventions that they included. Furthermore, most studie...

Prevalence of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) among pregnant women in Nigeria: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Conclusions While robust national prevalence studies are sparse in Nigeria, our findings suggest 7 in every 100 pregnant women are likely to have HIV infection. These figures are consistent with reported prevalence rates in sub-Saharan African region. WHO has indicated much higher prevalence in Nigeria compared with our findings. This discrepancy could potentially be attributed to varied methodological approaches and regional focus of studies included in our review. The magnitude of the issue highlights the need for targeted efforts from local, national and international stakeholders for prevention, diagnosis, management and treatment.

Qualitative studies of the lived experiences of being in foster care: A scoping review protocol
The aim of this scoping review is to provide an overview of the existing qualitative research concerning the lived experiences of children and young people currently in foster care. Introduction Lived experience of foster care is an area of limited research. Studies tend to focus on foster caregiver retention rates, education performance outcomes, evaluations and policy development. Although these studies are important, they provide little insight into the everyday lives of those currently in foster care, which is likely to influence these previous areas of research. Methods and analysis The scoping review will be guided ...
