System review on treating post-stroke depression with acupuncture
Conclusion Although this system assessment showed that treating post-stroke depression with acupuncture was more effective compared with western medicine, the result was less reliable and quality of evidences was poor. The above-mentioned results need more high-quality randomized controlled trials for further verification.

Conclusions Acupuncture combined with rehabilitative training has definite therapeutic effect on recovery of various functions such as neural functional recovery of stroke patients during recovery phase, obviously superior to simple rehabilitative training.

Conclusion The clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with speech rehabilitation training for patients with post-stroke spasmodic dysarthria is significant, and the efficacy of acupuncture is superior to that of speech rehabilitation training; as for functional recovery of tongue like stationary state and tongue out, the therapy of acupuncture combined with speech rehabilitation training is effective.

Evaluation of the curative effect of acupuncture manipulation of regulating governor vessel and unblocking brain on the patients with post stroke depression associated with anxiety
Conclusion The curative effect of acupuncture manipulation of regulating governor vessel and unblocking brain on the anxiety state and motor function of the patients with post stroke depression is superior to that of escitalopram. With regard to the improvement of depression, this acupuncture manipulation was provided with the characteristic of rapid onset, and its long-term efficacy is equivalent to that of escitalopram. In terms of the improvement of activities of daily living, the curative effect of the two methods is equally well.
