ConclusionsJYD might improve the efficacy of conventional therapy and/or acupuncture for treating post-stroke aphasia in consideration of the quality of RCTs included. However, larger and highly controlled RCTs are needed to confirm the results.

Moxibustion for stroke: Systematic review, meta-analysis, and GRADE-based recommendations
Conclusion Moxibustion may be effective as an adjunctive treatment for patients with stroke. Therefore, we recommend to consider moxibustion as an optional intervention to improve neurological deficits and ADL in stroke patients. Further research is warranted to fully reflect the use of moxibustion in real-world clinical practice and include clinical trials with a better methodological quality.

A randomized controlled trial comparing electroacupuncture with manual acupuncture for motor function recovery after ischemic stroke
ConclusionThe results suggest that electroacupuncture can be beneficial and have a superior effect in the recovery of motor function for patients with cerebral ischemic stroke, by increasing the levels of VEGF in the peripheral blood serum, cerebral blood flow and cerebral blood volume, compared with the acupuncture (needling alone).
