Ejection Fraction Recovery after Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting for Ischemic Cardiomyopathy
CONCLUSION: Patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy undergoing coronary artery bypass surgery show continuous recovery of left ventricular systolic function in the first postoperative year.PMID:34894634 | DOI:10.1055/s-0041-1736246

Ligation of Left Atrial Appendage during Off-Pump Coronary Surgery.
CONCLUSION:  Epicardial ligation of LAA during OPCAB in patients with AF may reduce the risk of ischemic stroke in long-term follow-up and does not affect the mortality. PMID: 31505691 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting in Acute Coronary Syndrome: Focus on Safety and Completeness of Revascularization.
CONCLUSION:  OPCAB surgery is safe and effective in ACS and may be considered in hemodynamically stable patients in the emergency setting. PMID: 30727010 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting using Bilateral Internal Thoracic Arteries through a Left-Sided Minithoracotomy: A Single-Center Starting Experience.
CONCLUSIONS:  Myocardial revascularization using BITA can be safely achieved off-pump through a left-sided minithoracotomy with good postoperative and short-term outcomes. PMID: 30193390 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Versus Drug-Eluting Stent Implantation in Patients with Multivessel Disease Involving the Right Coronary Artery.
CONCLUSION:  CABG was superior to PCI in patients with multivessel disease. Low graft patency in the right coronary territory was associated with cardiac-related death and the occurrence of MACCEs. PMID: 29843185 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

ICU Readmission after Cardiac Surgery-Still a Matter of Concern?
CONCLUSIONS:  In conclusion, readmission to the ICU after cardiac surgery is a rare complication that is still associated with excessive mortality. Establishment of an intermediate care unit proved to be an excellent means to reduce ICU stay without endangering post-surgery patients and significantly reduced the ICU readmission rate. PMID: 29715703 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Adverse Cerebral Outcomes after Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery-More Than a Decade of Experience in a Single Center.
CONCLUSIONS:  A low incidence rate of adverse cerebral outcomes after CABG in community hospital can be achieved with the use of the suggested surgical intensive care, and anesthetic strategy. Advanced age, congestive heart failure, and prior stroke are associated with adverse outcomes. PMID: 29642244 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
