Association of genetic polymorphisms at beta-adrenergic receptor with risk of intracerebral hemorrhagic stroke in North Indian population: A case control study
Conclusion: The present study provides the first preliminary evidence that Gln27Glu polymorphism of beta-2 AR may contribute modest effect in increase in risk of ICH in North Indian Population. Large prospective studies with large sample size are required to confirm these findings.

A Markov model to compare the long-term effect of aspirin, clopidogrel and clopidogrel plus aspirin on prevention of recurrent ischemic stroke due to intracranial artery stenosis
Conclusion: To prevent recurrent stroke in patients with intracranial artery stenosis, especially in those patients with a history of TIA or coronary artery disease, medical therapy with clopidogrel plus aspirin should be considered in preference to aspirin alone.

Cost of stroke from a tertiary center in northwest India
Conclusions: Direct medical cost or acute care of stroke accounted for a major component of cost of stroke. Poor outcome, length of hospital stay, and higher income were the cost driving factors. The socioeconomic impact on the family decreased at follow up probably due to joint family system.
