OBJECTIVES: Cognitive impairment is an important consequence of sepsis. We sought to determine long-term trajectories of cognitive function after sepsis. DESIGN: Prospective study of the Reasons for Geographic and Racial Differences in Stroke cohort. SETTING: United States.
