The value of dual-energy computed tomography in the evaluation of myocarditis
CONCLUSION: The findings of this study showed that the dark areas on the color-coded iodine map created with DECT were strongly correlated with CMR in acute cases of myocarditis. In addition, DECT is a robust imaging method that can also be used in the diagnosis of acute myocarditis. Furthermore, it provides information about coronary arteries faster and more reliably than magnetic resonance imaging without any limitations.PMID:36987908 | DOI:10.5152/dir.2022.21749

Review of genicular artery embolization, radiofrequency ablation, and cryoneurolysis in the management of osteoarthritis-related knee pain
In this study, published manuscripts were reviewed in the field of minimally invasive, image-guided interventions for OA-related knee pain, with a focus on genicular artery embolization, radiofrequency ablation, and cryoneurolysis. Recent studies have demonstrated a significant decrease in pain-related symptoms following these interventions. Reported complications were mild in the reviewed studies. Image-guided interventions for OA-related knee pain exist as valuable options for patients who fail other therapies, may not be good surgical candidates, or wish to avoid surgical intervention. Further studies with randomization...

CT-guided microcoil localization for scapula-blocked pulmonary nodules using penetrating lung puncture before video-assisted thoracic surgery
CONCLUSION: CT-guided microcoil localization for scapula-blocked pulmonary nodules using penetrating lung puncture prior to VATS resection is effective and safe. However, the deployment of the microcoil using penetrating lung puncture required more time than the routine puncture method.PMID:36960572 | DOI:10.5152/dir.2022.21712
