Clinical and neurocognitive outcomes after transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) with cerebral protection: initial experience with a novel dual-filter device in Southeast Asia
CONCLUSION: In this early Asian experience of TAVI under cerebral protection, the filter device was successfully deployed in 95% of patients with 100% procedural success. There were no filter-related complications and no stroke or mortality at 30 days. Mid-term study of transcatheter aortic valve implantation in an Asian population with severe aortic stenosis: two-year valve academic research consortium-2 outcomes.
CONCLUSION: Despite the unique clinical differences in an Asian population, this registry demonstrated favourable mid-term clinical and safety outcomes in Asians undergoing TAVI. PMID: 27516113 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
