The use of graded virtual mirror therapy in hand rehabilitation following severe nerve injury – A case study
Purpose: Mirror therapy has been shown to improve outcomes in patients with Stroke, Phantom-Limb Pain, CRPS and Persistent Pain. With immediate affects on pain, sensation and function. However conventional mirror therapy often has poor adherence with patients reporting low levels of motivation, limited means of progression and a lack of belief in the illusion. We sought to find a novel solution to these limitations with virtual mirror box therapy (VMBT); grading mirroring with a percentage representation of the unaffected limb rather than the 100% mirroring present in traditional mirror box therapy.

Characteristics of headache in vertebral artery dissections
Purpose: A vertebral artery dissection (VAD) is a rare disorder that can masquerade as musculoskeletal head and/or neck pain and requires an urgent medical referral. If the diagnosis is missed or mismanaged it can progress to stroke and death. Headaches are one of the main symptoms of a VAD that precedes ischaemic signs. The aim of this systematic review is to identify the common features of VAD headaches to ascertain if key characteristics can aid differentiation from other less sinister causes of headache with musculoskeletal origin.
