Outcomes of early carotid stenting and angioplasty in large-vessel anterior circulation strokes treated with mechanical thrombectomy and intravenous thrombolytics.
Conclusions If indicated, it is reasonable to consider concurrent carotid stenting and/or angioplasty for large-vessel anterior circulation stroke patients treated with mechanical thrombectomy who also receive intravenous thrombolytics. PMID: 29697301 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

A direct aspiration first pass technique with the new ARC catheter for thrombectomy of large vessel occlusion strokes: A multicenter study.
Conclusions In the present study, the ARC catheter allowed a 98% successful reperfusion rate. The complication rate was in line with those of previous a direct aspiration first pass technique publications. PMID: 30290720 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Ticagrelor versus clopidogrel in stent-assisted coil embolization of unruptured intracranial aneurysms
CONCLUSION: Compared to the clopidogrel based regimen, ticagrelor can also reduce TEs without increasing bleeding tendency for SACE of UIAs. Ticagrelor combined with low-dose aspirin is a safe and effective alternative option for SACE.PMID:34792425 | DOI:10.1177/15910199211054959

Predictors of 30-day mortality after endovascular thrombectomy for large vessel occlusion in the elderly
CONCLUSIONS: Lower collateral scores on mCTA and higher number of passes in thrombectomy were independently predictive of 30-day mortality in the elderly.PMID:34967236 | DOI:10.1177/15910199211069259

Comparing data from thrombectomy in m2 occlusion and proximal middle cerebral artery
CONCLUSIONS: M2 thrombectomy is safe and a significant proportion of patients achieve a good clinical outcome. Advanced age, atrial fibrillation and previous treatment with anticoagulants were predictors for poor outcome. Good outcome was achieved when effective recanalization was obtained.PMID:35043725 | DOI:10.1177/15910199221074881
