E-007 Immediate post-thrombectomy dual-energy CT virtual non-contrast imaging for final infarct prediction
ConclusionsImmediate post-thrombectomy DECT with VNC post-processing may more accurately visualize infarcted tissue and aid in prognostication and guiding treatment decisions despite suffering from low inter-rater agreement. Further larger scale studies are warranted.Disclosures C. Kim: None. S. Moghimi: None. A. Rohr: None. F. E-023 Predictors of outcomes in tandem anterior circulation occlusions following mechanical thrombectomy
In this study, we present outcomes of patients undergoing tandem mechanical thrombectomy. We demonstrate that stenting is associated with improved final reperfusion, but increased odds of asymptomatic ICH. Additional clinical trials should be performed to optimize the procedure and improve patient outcomes.Disclosures J. Catapano: None. D. Farhadi: None. A. Naik: None. S. Koester: None. E. E-030 Feasibility and safety of mechanical thrombectomy for sole primary angular artery M3 and M4 MCA occlusions
ConclusionAngular artery occlusions often present with disabling symptoms, commonly including speech deficits and limb paresis. Our limited data suggests that mechanical thrombectomy of the angular artery is feasible and safe. As with thrombectomy in other vascular territories, and amongst other factors, patient outcome is influenced by grade of reperfusion.Disclosures A. Kuhn: None. J. Singh: None. F. Massari: None. A. P-025 Evaluation of pure subarachnoid hemorrhage after mechanical thrombectomy in a series of 781 consecutive patients
ConclusionSubarachnoid hyperdensity in head CT scans within the first 24 hours after mechanical thrombectomy is relatively archetypal. The issue arises in discriminating between pure contrast stagnation and other bleeding types to conduct a more specific treatment for patients with such complications, even though SAH post-thrombectomy carries a favorable prognosis.Disclosures V. P-031 End artery location of thrombus predicts poor neurological outcome despite successful thrombectomy for anterior circulation stroke
ConclusionsDespite similar vascular territories, concurrent occlusion of the MCA and ACA segments results in worse clinical outcomes compared to more proximal ICA occlusion. The likely explanation for fast progression of infarct in the MCA+ACA group is the higher likelihood of end-artery involvement and lower contribution of collateral flow. Reperfusion of both territories; however, does add to the risk of symptomatic post-procedural hemorrhage.Disclosures S. Eshraghi: None. S. Saperian: None. A. Alawieh: None. B. Howard: None. J.
