Associated factors of multiple contact allergies in Thai dermatitis patients: A 10 ‐year retrospective study
ConclusionsThe significantly associated factors of MCA were identified. The ranking of the common contact allergens among the MCA patients was comparable with that of the non ‐MCA patients. Metal and fragrance allergens were frequently found to cause concurrent positive reactions in the MCA patients.

Patch testing with alkyl glucosides: concomitant reactions are common but not ubiquitous
ConclusionsThe prevalence of alkyl glucoside ‐induced ACD is relatively high and there are frequent concomitant reactions between different alkyl glucosides. We recommend the inclusion of alkyl glucosides in all cosmetic series.

Temporal changes in chromium allergy in Denmark between 2002 and 2017

Sensitization to fragrances in Spain: A 5 ‐year multicentre study (2011‐2015)
ConclusionsWe recommend patch testing all patients positive for any fragrance marker with a specific fragrance series. The correlation between the results of baseline series and fragrance series could be improved by increasing the concentrations of individual fragrances.

Mice with epidermal filaggrin deficiency show increased immune reactivity to nickel
ConclusionsThese findings suggest that the increased nickel responsiveness associated with epidermal filaggrin deficiency is mediated by a combination of increased nickel penetration and the steady ‐state inflammation found in the skin of filaggrin‐deficient mice.

Addressing the conundrums of p ‐phenylenediamine hair dye allergy by applying Friedmann’s principles of contact sensitization
SummaryIn the first conundrum, permanent hair dyeing uses aromatic amines such asp‐phenylenediamine (PPD), whose oxidation is pivotal to the dyeing process, but also generates potent allergens. Despite prolonged industry effort searching for safer alternatives, hair dyeing is still reliant on this type of aromatic amine. In the second conundrum, patch testing with 1% PPD remain s the most useful screen for hair dye contact allergy. However, there is a very small but real risk of actively sensitising the patient. Lowering the PPD concentration below 1% significantly reduces test sensitivity and diagnostic utility. Here we...
