Discussion: Palinopsia is the persistence or recurrence of visual images after the visual stimulus has been removed. Palinopsia can be further subtyped with one of the categories being scene perseveration, where a formed scene may continuously replay for a length of time either superimposed in a visual field or in place of an impaired visual field.
